Cookie Policy
Version of
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies (such as your browser's local storage) used on www.istanbulafrica.com, run by Burak Ünal under the Istanbul Africa name. It follows the Personal Data Protection Authority's Guidelines on Cookie Practices and complements our Privacy Policy and KVKK Information Notice.
1. Our approach
- Strictly necessary storage is used without asking, because the site cannot remember your choice without it.
- Analytics cookies are used only after you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner. "Reject" has the same prominence, and nothing is pre-selected.
- Embedded Google Maps and videos load only when you click them. Until then, no request is made to Google.
- Fonts are served from our own servers, so no font provider sees your visit.
- You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
- We ask again when this policy changes in a way that affects your choice.

We use Google Consent Mode: until you accept, analytics storage is "denied" and the Google tags are not loaded at all. Google is located abroad; the transfer is made only with your consent, in line with KVKK Article 9.
3. Links to other services
WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and X are separate services. When you follow a link to them, their own cookie and privacy policies apply.
4. Changing your choice
- Use Cookie settings in the footer of any page to reopen the banner and accept or reject analytics.
- You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary storage means the site asks for your choice on every visit.
